About Peter van Ooijen
I am an independent software consultant who works from Groningen in the north of the Netherlands. After studies in biology, specializing on evolutionary biology, bioinformatics and numerical taxonomy I started a professional career in IT. In 1986 my company Gekko Software was founded and has since then been working with the tools and methodologies best fit to deliver quality applications. Over the year the tools evolved from Clipper, via Delphi to the .NET framework. When it comes to methodology then only thing which really counts is a committed involvement of the people who have to work with the product. This is an overview of my work experience.
